‘Peepli’ is a name of a village in India near Aligarh, although, the shooting of ‘Peepli Live’ hasn’t taken at the place, but since the name of the movie is similar to it, the value of everything has increased dramatically.

 

The head of the village was not aware of the fact, that the name of their village is used in an Aamir Khan’s movie and that too in the title. Since, the shooting of the movie has taken place in a different place, so all the villagers came to know about their lottery later on.

 

It all started when people from other villages started to show keen interest in the land of Peepli and the demand suddenly increased. Even the marriage proposals for young men and women increased at a sudden rate.

 

The head or the sarpanch of the village, Giriraj Singh states, “We were surprised at what was happening, because people from cities as far as Mumbai were buying property in our village. We thought it was because there is an expressway near Peepli. We later found out that there was a movie based on our village, which spiked people’s interest.”

 

He further added, “We have more proposals than bachelors and spinsters in our village now.” The reason for all this was also the fact that the villagers and the other people in a jiffy assumed that the movie is shot in Peepli, when they suddenly came to know about it.

 

Now, too excited with all the sudden developments, the head of the village has sent an invitation to miracle man, Aamir Khan. The head has invited him to his village to honor him and express thanks for his choice.

 

Vijayraj Singh adds, “We will give him a warm welcome, sing songs in his honor and put up skits for his entertainment if he comes.”

 

The villagers are also determined to express their thanks to the actor by walking ten kilometers till Aligarh or Faridabad to watch the movie, releasing on August 13.

 

Aamir has not yet responded to the villager’s invitation, but his official spokesperson has told that Aamir has received the invitation and he would respond to it soon.
