Panasonic LUMIX DMC TS3, a new rugged digital camera with high-end features, has been launched. Unlike the usual rough and tough cameras, LUMIX TS3 sports stylish and chic looks. The camera comes in happening shades like red, orange, blue and silver.
The camera is well protected from all the possible damages and the company assures you of shockproof, waterproof, freezeproof and dustproof. With 2.7 inches wide display, the camera offers 230,000-dot high-resolution LCD. Interestingly GPS, which is fast becoming a part of cameras as well, also features in the LUMIX TS3.
LUMIX offers 4 active outdoor scene modes and comes with an optional marine case.
With 28mm wide-angle lens, the Panasonic LUMIX DMC TS3 offers 4.6x optical zoom / 6x intelligent zoom / 9.1x extra optical zoom. The battery life of the camera can approximately stretch up to 310 shots on a single battery charge.
The LUMIX TS3 offers 3.7 fps in 12.1-mega pixels and Intelligent Resolution Technology. It can record a full HD Movie in AVCHD FormatNew at 1920 x 1080 resolutions and is capable of 4.6x optical zoom in movie recording.
The in-built GPS system in the camera works for both photos and movies and is enabled with the area information of 203 countries or regions, more than 1,000,000 landmark information.
While the price of the new Panasonic LUMIX DMC TS3 is yet to be known, it is not expected to cost above $300. The camera would hit markets somewhere around in March.
