No One Killed Jessica’s Director Fine With Adult Certificate Rani Mukherjee |
‘No One Killed Jessica’ is such a movie which shows the extreme brutal and abusing character of Rani Mukherjee in it, but the director of the movie Rajkumar Gupta says that he is okay with it, even if he gets Adult’s certificate.
Rajkumar Gupta says, “We voluntarily beeped out Rani`s expletive in the trailer because it was to be screened on the home viewing medium. But now when we submit the film for censorship, we will go with the entire language content intact, hoping the censor board would see the context and not just the hard-hitting nature of the language.”
He continues further, “We are hoping for a UA (parental guidance) certificate. But even if we get an Adults certificate.”
The movie is based on the real murder story of model, Jessica Lal, Rani Mukherjee plays the role of a crime reporter, who traces evidence to help Vidya Balan (playing the role of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal).
The way Rani has been portrayed in the film has raised controversies, the Censor Board member’s feels that there are more beeps than dialogues in the movie.
The director ends saying, “But yes, Rani`s character is very brutal and graphic in her speech. I don`t know if, as you say, Rani is the same way in real life. I didn`t know her before I shot with her. But she was thoroughly professional in mouthing squirmy words."
