Miss Universe pageant 2010 is round the corner but it has found itself in the middle of a controversy after three of its contestants decided to pose topless for the photoshoot.
The beauties from all over the globe participate in the pageant to win the prestigious crown of world’s top beauty queen. The show will be telecasted live on August 23 from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Miss Trinidad & Tobago 2010, LaToya Woods was fascinated with the fact when the contestants were given an option to pose in a bikini or go topless. The beauty chose the latter option and claimed to feel liberated and artistic during the fashion photoshoot.
Meanwhile, the other beauty who decided to venture into bare it all act was Rima Fakih, Miss USA 2010 who quoted, “I told them I feel comfortable with beauty and with being unique. I'm known to stand out and always wanting to do something different."
Last but not the least Maiko Itai, Miss Japan 2010 also took the brave step and sensuously posed topless for the photoshoot.
It will be interesting to see if these ladies will score top points in the contest but Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez seems to have a clear view of who is the most deserving contestant to replace her as the most beautiful lady.
“I have my five favorites, but I can’t tell you. I’ll tell you Aug. 24. It’s a secret.”
Fernandez, who hails from Venezuela, won the Miss Universe crown at age 18 in 2009. She earned a Guinness record by being the first Miss Universe winner who was crowned by a compatriot.
