Miley Cyrus has had a tattoo inked on her chest in a heartfelt tribute to her pal who died of cystic fibrosis in 2007.
‘The Hannah Montana’ star's friend Vanessa passed away at the age of 12 and Jonas Brothers singer Nick Jonas stood by Cyrus side through the tragedy.
Now she's made a lasting memorial to her lost buddy, by having the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's motto ‘Just Breathe’ tattooed below her left breast.
But the touching gesture has brought about its own controversy - several commentators are speculating whether 17 year old Cyrus broke the law with the body art.
Under the U.S. legislation, the under-18s are not allowed to have body art unless they have written permission from their parents.
