Mena Suvari Ties Knot With Long Time Beau  Mena Suvari with Simone Sestito |
American actress Mena Suvari may be set to star in forthcoming flick, ‘You May Not Kiss The Bride’ but she followed the tradition to seal her vows with long time beau, Simone Sestito on June 26 in Italy.
The romance between the ‘American Pie’ beauty and concert promoter, 25 sparked after meeting at the 2007 Toronto Film Festival and the pair got engaged in 2008.
This is a second marriage for Mena, 31 as she married cinematographer Robert Brinkmann on March 4, 2000. Brinkmann was seventeen years her senior. On April 24, 2005, Suvari filed for legal separation, citing irreconcilable differences; the divorce was finalized in May 2005.
This time choosing someone near to her age, the actress chose a private chapel within the Vatican City for the wedding ceremony as most of the groom's family live around Rome.
A guest quoted, "The ceremony was truly unique and Mena looked breathtaking. They are very much in love.”
Last year, Mena revealed in an interview that how hard she is trying to keep her new husbands family happy. She said that she is planning to design her wedding gown in such a way that it covers her tattoos.
"I think it would be considerate to (Sestito's) family to have my tattoos covered, since there are two nuns on his mother's side of the family," she said.
Her tattoos include, among others, a lion on her neck and upper back.
