Life Partner Music Review Life Partner |
Album: "Life Partner"
Music Director: Pritam Chakraborty
Lyricists: Javed Akhtar and Kumaar
Pritam’ music composition for “Life Partner’ is not as impressive as his previous work such as "Jab We Met", "Life...In A Metro", "Dhoom 2" and "Gangster". After hearing the songs, it is evident that he has not worked as he had worked for his other works.
The album contains five original songs and two remixes.
The first song of the album is "Kuke kuke" which has been rendered by Shaan and Antara Mitra. The fast-paced number starts with Antara singing completely off tune, something that seems to be the requirement of the song according to the lyrics. But the lyrics are simply bizarre for the listener.
The song also contains a remix version which is better than the original as far as the music is concerned - it is high on beats.
The next one is "Teri meri ye zindagi", which is better. A love ballad with touches of melody, it has a soothing effect and is sung by Soham Chakrabarthy and Shreya Ghosal. But this also is yet another melody, with nothing special.
Next is an energetic number "Aage aage". You get to hear the voices of Mika Singh, Shakti, Ajay Jhingran, Soham and Antara in this song, which is an out and out fun and dance number. But here also, lyrics fail to leave any special impression.
Next is a folk song "Gunji aangna mein shehnai" sung nicely by Sunidhi Chauhan and Kirti Sagathia. But the number falls flat and has nothing new to offer.
Next we have Sunidhi again for "Poorza poorza", written by guest lyricist Kumaar. The song sung by Kunal Ganjawala has an edgy beginning and a totally westernised approach. This is not worthy to be called as an foot-tapping number.
The song also has a typical remix version.
In short, the entire music of Life partner is disappointing fro music lovers.
