Lady Gaga Campaigns For AIDS Awareness Lady Gaga |
After her campaign against internet piracy singing sensation Lady Gaga has now tightened her belt to increase awareness of AIDS among people. The singer has asked her fans to take AIDS seriously and urged to practice safe sex.
‘The Fame’ diva asked her fans that they should not take AIDS lightly as it is too dangerous.
The singer has joined hands with 80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper and MAC cosmetics bosses to raise money for AIDS patients and increase awareness of the disease.
"Everyone has that phone call of, 'Oh my gosh, you wouldn't believe what I did last night! I was so stupid, I didn't use a condom!' There's all this laughter on the phone - I've gotten those phone calls. It's our job as friends to say to one another, 'I don't know why you're laughing because it's very serious,” Lady Gaga said.
The singer added, "I want to take as much time as I can to speak out about this because I really don't feel that there's enough women that are really educated about how quickly AIDS is spreading, how dangerous it really is, how many people really have it. I want to be an example for young women.”
