Konkana and Ranvir got married on September 3rd night, but in a very hush-hush affair. There were no invitees from the Bollywood fraternity and the marriage took place behind closed doors, now both the actors have chosen the twitter medium to give a public word on their own.
Konkana mentioned on her Twitter page, “Hey guys. Ranvir and I got married on the 3rd. Thanks for all the good wishes! Goodnight.”
Both the actors were engaged to each other for the past 4 years and were in a live-in relationship from the year 2008. The marriage ceremony took place in a typical Arya Samaj style at the Goregaon apartment of the actors.
Ranvir was dressed as a Punjabi groom and Konkana wore her Grandmother’s jewelry with a traditional bridal lehenga. The families of both the actors were present on the occasion.
She writes on twitter further, “We wanted you to read it here first but... We got married! Yay!"
Bollywood celebrities also gave their heartfelt wishes to the newly married couple.
Actress Genelia D’souza adds, “Congratulations konkona, lots of love n happiness to a new life.”
Filmmaker Karan Johar wrote, "huge congratulations!!! The best years ahead!!"
"Congratulations both of you - bahut saara pyar (lots of love)," wrote veteran actress Shabana Azmi.
