Katrina Kaif Dons Cricket Field In Saree To Take On To Batting With Guys! Katrina Kaif |
If you think it sounds crazy but you will be surprised in fact to know that she really did it as she was seen playing cricket in saree with guys in ease as like that sporting in pants even to which the Katrina Kaif admitted her comfort.
It is not a big deal to run around in saree what the dame Katrina stated, "What's so tough about playing cricket in a saree? Why do people presume I'm not at home in sarees? I've been wearing them at fashion shows and other events from the time I was a model. And I am comfortable in a saree, even when playing cricket."
It is in fact far apart from Rani Mukherjee’s performance as a cricketer in ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ where Katrina draped in long cloth chasing around with bat and ball in the male dominated game in reality and not for a film role.
She has learned the tricks of bat and ball while frequently playing with the ‘Rajneeti’ team and since for film’s role she had to don a saree through out Katrina didn’t mind playing in it without going for a change.
But the hurdle was not with saree but with Ranbir Kapoor who use to shoo her away by stating, "Chal-chal yeh ladkiyon ke bas ki baat nahin," while Arjun Rampal encouraged her to join them.
Winning a softer side from Arjun, Katrina added, "Ya, Arjun was very supportive. He not only stood up for me he also taught me elements of the game. Ranbir didn't want me to be part of their cricket team. So I got my own bat and ball and insisted that I be part of the team."
For the promotional purpose the team has even caught the match captured in their camera, Katrina with grumble added, "But the minute the camera was switched off they sent me off to… like a hundred miles away to do fielding. I had to put my down if I wanted to learn the game on the field.”
In a cute appealing way, Katrina added, "Now whenever I'm at the IPL games next, I know what's going on. I don't have to clap and cheer something I don't understand."
Yeah true it will be nice to see Katrina on field rather than on spectator’s seat clapping but if that too in saree, it will be a pleasure. Ha, ha for sure!
