Another legendry actor, Kamal Hassan completes 50 grand years in the Indian cinema. Not like a festival for the actor, he gets felicitated for his unparalleled contribution to the industry.
Kamal got the trophy from Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni for his amazing achievements.
Not less than a festival in itself, the golden jubilee celebrations hosted a display of the best work of the artist. The grand event was held at the Siri Fort auditorium in New Delhi on Friday.
Kamal proudly treasures 28 best actor trophies including four National Awards and in the event, his big time hits like ‘Nayakan Thevar Magan’ and ‘Hey Ram’ were showcased.
Kamal’s contribution to the industry is phenomenal and it proves it from his impeccable performance in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Nayakan’.
The actor adds, “I am proud of my film industry and I think we should make the Time magazine, or the world at large, understand that we have quality. We've been delivering the films for local markets only, hence the quality remains that way.”
Kamal apart from being a talented actor, he is a down to earth person as well and says, “I'll keep doing films, as I know nothing else.”
His upcoming movie is ‘Madmadanam’, which stars Madhavan and Trisha.
