Yesterday was the luckiest day of Lee DeWyze’s life as he was announced the new ‘American Idol’ beating his competitor Crystal Bowersox.
Lee DeWyze said after he was announced the winner, “Thank you guys so much, everybody. I can't believe this. I love you guys."
Later, DeWyze, 24 sang the U2 song ‘Beautiful Day’.
But, the two hour finale was not just all about Lee DeWyze or Simon Cowell it was much more than that. The best performance which made the studio audience jump off their seat came from singing sensation, Janet Jackson.
Janet Jackson sported a new short haircut and began her performance with the ballad ‘Nothing’ before transitioning into a fantastic rendition of ‘Nasty Boys’. At the end of her performance thrilled Jackson warmly waved and blew kisses to both the audience and the judge’s table.
