iPad Is Spawning New Tablet-Specific Apps iPad |
Since the launch of the iPad on Saturday, there is an explosion of apps that want to run on it. As per the initial reports, as many as 3000 free apps are there that can incorporate the Apple’s large touchscreen device.
It is seen that most of the apps that come on the way for a run, rely on different technology and the apps can also behave differently depending on the way those are used. So, apps can employ new ways of navigating such as multi-touch gestures like flicking, two-finger swiping and pinching.
The iPad’s large screen can spawn new type of tablet specific apps that can run on large touchscreens. Earlier, the iPhone and iPod touch devices had a pool of about 150,000 apps that could run on smaller touchscreens.
According to some users, the developers are making efforts to design apps that could be easily run on larger screens as in the iPads. Such types of apps come with large screen specific features like fly-out menus, multi-panel layouts, 3-D images intermixed with text and newspapers that can be read almost like the printed ones.
So, there might be a race among the apps developers in putting as many apps as can be to popularise their efforts. After all, it is the ‘game changing’ product from Apple that could change their future as well.
