Imran Khan is all set to be the new face of Mills & Boon series based on the movie ‘I Hate Luv Story’s’.
An exclusive tie-up took place between the M&B publishing house and Karan Johar’s firm Dharma Productions. The publishing house will come up with a series of books which would be based on the movie ‘I Hate Luv Stories’.
Sources say “The exclusive tie-up will have a series of eight books. It will have the cover of I Hate Luv Story’s and will be a story of Imran, who does not believe in love.”
Karan Johar confirmed the news and said “Yes, we do have an exclusive association with Mills & Boon. They are coming up with an IHLS special edition, which is a compilation of all the classics. They felt a strong synergy between the theme of our film and a classic Mills & Boon romance.”
Karan thinks that Imran is the perfect young character who is fit for a romantic lead role. He adds “Imran represents the quintessential Mills & Boon romantic lead, because of his character in the film, a strong cynic in the power of love and eventually a convert.”
The country manager for Harlequin M & B, Manish Singh said “Every youth dreams of falling in love and every story of love is filled with joys and anxiety. This association symbolizes the idea that unfolds in every youth’s life and synergizes with the movie theme.To create more excitement we have launched an initiative for readers to meet Imran Khan, at present a youth heartthrob.”
He also spoke about Imraan and said “Over the years Mills & Boon characters have evolved to reflect the changing cultural and societal norms of the nations we operate in."
"While there are certain universal traits in our heroes, which resonate across our readership base of 16 to 60 years, Imran Khan obviously, has tremendous appeal amongst the younger generation.”
