HP has introduced its new model of netbook, the Mini 5103 to replace the Mini 5102 series.
The new model sports a 10-inch display and comes with a DDR3 RAM instead of the existing DDR2 memory.
The device uses the Intel Atom N455 or a N475 processor having a speed of 1.66GHz or 1.86GHz respectively. The user can upgrade the device to 2GB. There is also 1GB RAM of the 1333MHz variety is provided by default with the Mini 5102.
The Mini 5102 carries a 160GB hard disk drive spinning at 7200RPM. It can be either upgraded to a 320GB model or replaced by a 80GB (or a 128GB SSD).
The other features of this netbook include the option for Intel GMA3150 onchip graphics module to speed up HD content, swappable option for a multitouch model and 3G.
The Mini offers battery life to 9.5 hours and comes with a lighter and more resistant chasis.
HP has fixed the price of the netbook as 429 euros (around £399).
