Heath Ledger’s Last Movie To Be Released In US Heath Ledger |
‘The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus’, the last movie of Heath Ledger, is scheduled to hit the US theatres very soon. Advanced talks with a distributor to reel out the movie across America are being carried out the producers.
Executives in charge of the picture have been searching for sponsors in the US for almost a year, but nobody wanted to do the promotion of the experimental movie.
The film shows late actor Ledger, who died of an accidental drug overdose last year, essaying the role of a travelling magician. But stars like Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law stood in for the Aussie actor after he died mid-way through filming.
Talks with Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group are on and they are expectations that a deal will be signed to distribute the film in the U.S. later this year.
The film has already finalised deals with distributors in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Australia for later in 2009.
