Emma Watson Blames ‘Twilight’ For Selling Sex Emma Watson |
The competition between two biggest sagas of Hollywood, ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Twilight’ seems to be heating up as the lead lady of wizard franchise, Emma Watson has openly criticised the vampire series for ‘selling sex’.
Watson, 20 who portrays the role of Hermione Granger in `Harry Potter’ admits that her on screen kiss with Rupert Grint ‘was horribly awkward’.
"This kiss between Hermione and Ron is highly anticipated, it`s been building up for eight films now. And `Harry Potter` is not Twilight`, you know; we`re not selling sex. So, whenever there is any hint of that, everybody gets terribly excited. In fact, it was horribly awkward; we couldn`t stop laughing," the star said.
The young actress further added that before filming the intimate scene, the pair discussed about it with each other and finally came to the conclusion that feeling uncomfortable will actually look good on-screen.
"The nicest thing about it was, before we did it, we turned to each other and were like, `God, this is going to be awful, isn`t it?` but hopefully it will look good," the actress said.
`Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows` is splited in two parts and the first part will be released in 2010 while the second in 2011.
