Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore is again ready to don the director’s hat. The actress whose directorial debut, ‘Whip It’ earned huge success at the box office will again be going behind the camera for, ‘Surrender Dorothy’.
Earlier, Drew Barrymore was to star in the movie but after her directorial hit the bosses of the movie decided to offer Barrymore the director’s seat.
The film is scripted by the writer of ‘Stranger Than Fiction’ fame, Zach Helm.
‘Surrender Dorothy’ is the story about the great, great granddaughter of Dorothy who has to learn how to use the power of those ruby red slippers to keep the wicked witch of the West from taking control of the kingdoms of Earth and Oz.
The film is a joint venture between Warner Brothers and Drew's production company Flower Films.
