Delta Goodrem In Celebration Of Her Debut Album Delta Goodrem |
Delta Goodrem is finally celebrating the success of her debut album - because her battle with cancer took the shine off her 2003 release ‘Innocent Eyes’.
The singer was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma just weeks after the record reached the top spot in her native Australia and she immediately put all working commitments on hold to undergo chemotherapy treatment.
And it's only now that Goodrem feels able to celebrate the release of ‘Innocent Eyes’, which has been named the country's best selling album of the 2000s.
She says, "I got to enjoy the success of that album for about three months... and then, all of a sudden, I was in hospital.
"I wouldn't change anything - but the saddest part for me then was that I couldn't do the live shows and that was the part I had been dreaming about since I was a kid."
