Chevrolet Launches Aveo CNG ‘Green Car’ In India Chevrolet Aveo CNG |
GM’s Chevrolet has launched its newest green car, the Aveo in India that runs with CNG.
On the eve of the launch, President and Managing Director Mr. Karl Slym said that the launch of the Aveo CNG is a proof of GM’s responsibility towards green technology and environmentally friendly solutions for vehicles.
In a statement GM India said the new variant would reduce the running cost by about 57% as compared to the vehicles powered by petrol and 25% lower than a similar vehicle powered by diesel.
The Aveo CNG can run up to 200 kilometers on a full tank of CNG. The model is BS IV compliant.
According to sources, the Aveo CNG car's safety is governed by the CNG injection technology from Italy.
It is said that, the car is free from extra maintenance and ensures high quality due to factory fitted critical components. The critical CNG kit components include CNG injectors, selector switch and modified wiring & suspension.
Aveo CNG carries a strong body and fitted with Electronic Controller Unit and CNG kit. The vehicle comes with a three-year/100,000-km standard warranty along with a service option of 5,000 km or six months. The tank in the car can carry up to 1.4 litre of CNG.
Chevrolet Aveo is expected to cost over Rs. 6.5 lakh.
