Japanese two-wheeler leader Yamaha has launched its new motorcycle,YBR 110 for the Indian commuters. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 41,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
During the launch, India Yamaha Motor Chief Executive Officer and MD Yukimine Tsuji said, "We have been studying the entry level market and wanted to launch a new bike at an affordable price that would give satisfactory mileage... We are confident that we will replicate the success of our premium segment bikes with the launch of all new YBR 110 in entry level space.”
The 4-stroke YBR 110 boasts of a 106 cc engine and has a 4-speed gearbox. However, there have been very few enhancements except the smooth single balancer shaft.
Currently the company has three products like Crux, Alba and G5. Crux is priced at Rs 34,990 whereas Alba and G5 are priced at Rs 41,000 and Rs 43,380 respectively.
The company has also product portfolio of high-end bikes such as VMAX, MT01 and YZF-R1. Fazer, FZ-S, FZ16, YZF-R15 and Gladiator are the other bikes in the premium and executive segments.
India Yamaha Motor has two manufacturing hubs in India such as a facility at Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh and another at Faridabad in Haryana. Both the hubs cater to the demands of both the domestic sector and international markets.
