Research In Motion (RIM) has launched its latest smartphone the BlackBerry Bold 9780 for the customers. This is an udgraded version of the Bold 9700 with hordes of features.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 sports a 2.44-inch HVGA display with very smart keyboard and optical trackpad. The handset runs on the new BlackBerry 6 operating system and integrates many features like 624 MHz processor, 512 MB Flash memory, expandable memory up to 32 GB, 3G, Wi-Fi with support for carrier supported Wi-Fi calling, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS for location-based applications and geo-tagging etc.
Apart from that, the set boasts of a 5MP camera with continuous auto focus, scene modes, image stabilization, flash and video recording.
The Bold 9780 is a high performance set with elegant design. It also provides all sorts of multimedia options for the user.
The phone will be released through carriers like T Mobile and AT & T in the United States. Vodafone and RIM will bring out this phone with their personalised services in November. And, the pricing may be around $199.99 with a 2-year contract. However, the company has not revealed anything about that officially.
