Airtel's New Logo |
India’s largest telecommunication company Bharti Airtel would unveil its new logo on November 19, sources said.
The mobile service provider will come up with a new brand identity. It is being reported that Airtel would launch its new logo in several countries including India, Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the island country Seychelles.
Besides, the company is also planning to change the design of its recharge vouchers and important brand promotion materials. Airtel will spend over Rs. 300 crores on changing its brand identity.
Airtel’s move comes after it took over Africa’s Zain Telecom. The company has its operations in 19 countries across South Asia and Africa. It is the fifth largest telecom service provider in the world with over 190 million subscribers as of September 30, 2010. In India alone, the company has about 143 million subscribers as of September 2010.
