US President, Barack Obama, will be taking the charge of the UN Security Council session which is scheduled to be held next month. This session will be discussion on nuclear disarmament, which is the first of such events to be held by the Security Council, which was formed for the maintenance of world peace and security.
The meeting which is scheduled for September 24 at the UN headquarters in New York will have some of the heads of the members. As the US holds the rotating presidency of the council in September, the US President gets to chair the nuclear debate.
Obama will be among the other world leaders, who will participate in the UN General Assembly session, which is scheduled to kick off on Sep 23.
Mexico City will be the host to the international conference on disarmament from September 9 to 11, which will see the participation from the non-government organizations from all over the globe.
