Backstreet Boys Wants To Be Lady Gaga’s Business Mentor Lady Gaga |
The Backstreet Boys are keen to mentor Lady Gaga about the business of music - so she doesn't make the same mistakes they did when they first made it big.
The boy band was touring in New Zealand at the same time as the Paparazzi singer and learned that she is living too large.
And now Boys star Brian Littrell is keen to play business mentor to the GaGa, so she doesn't return home after big tours broke.
He said, "Our production manager was talking to her production manager and we found out that she had, like, three 747s (private planes) flying around with her.”
He added, "I just wanted to tell her that she needs to make, like, a dime or maybe 20 cents after the tour is over with - because when you overbudget yourself, you get home and you're like, 'Yeah, the tour was great, but I'm broke!'"
Bandmate Nick Carter admits the Boys are more business savvy now than ever before: "We had to learn ourselves, the hard way... The only people we could trust was ourselves."
And they had a lot of help from financial mastermind Howie Dorough, who took over the group's business.
He explains, "We're actually really involved in our business... I look over all the cheques and all the bills that are coming in before we go on tour... We all talk about it ahead of time and we make sure we put our budget together."
