Backstreet Boys To Play In India This Week Backstreet Boys |
The curtain over the Backstreet Boys on Indian stage is set to unfurl very soon by this coming Saturday and Sunday.
Indians fans are already blown by the band's friendly comments about Indian culture. Interestingly Indian crowds are already at the peak of their excitement to join them in singing ‘I Want It That Way’ number from the band's reportiore.
The tour, called ‘This Is US’ will see them performing in two metro cities of India, Delhi and Bangalore. Moreover, they are expected to liven their presence as the biggest attraction of India’s only international music festival ‘Rock ‘n India’.
This international band which is reigning successfully since 1993 in Florida, have survived it all. The singers are AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson.
The best part is that they are intensely inclined to explore India’s rich culture and food. In praise, Rajan Zed, who is also the chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation added, “India had abundance of musical talent (with tradition going back to Sama-Veda), and all it needed was to channelize it and give it a direction.”
Indian crowds will have the additional advantage to take the pleasure of watching their band along with other bands who are going to perform in this event which includes 'Prime Circle', 'Richard Marx', 'Swarathma', 'Indigo Children', J'ayce Lewis', and 'Five Little Indians'.
Now the fans can go ga, ga over hits like "The One", "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely", "I Need You Tonight”, "I Want It That Way", "Larger than Life" and other listless heart rending numbers.
However, many old fans of the Festilval 'Rock 'n India' are disappointed as the last two chapters featured heavy metal bands as the headlining acts- Iron Maiden and Megadeth; two of the world's reigining champions in the metal arena. Many of the die-hard metalhards are utterly disappointed in DNA and some of them even hacked the event organizer's website in protest. It remains to be seen what kind of crowd will really turn up at this year's ROI.
Eitherway, the Backstreet Boys may leave an unforgettable impression upon the Indian audience.
