Aamir Khan Reconciles To Kapil Sibal’s Petition Aamir Khan |
Apparently angry by the hot debate with the copyright panel members and the media’s false infliction, Aamir Khan who had quit the panel, rejoined it after Kapil Sibal’s request.
Reportedly it has been stated that Aamir who had pulled out from a government appointed panel to examine proposed amendments to the Copyright Act, withdrew his resignation decision on Friday. He stated, "Sir, I have given a lot of thought to your request to take back my resignation. I have also read the letter forwarded by other members reposing faith on my integrity... I am withdrawing my resignation,” in a letter to Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal.
The initiative taken by Sibal is important as in any other case Aamir might not have consented to make a comeback. An HRD ministry official had revealed the actor’s version, "The initiative taken by you (Sibal) is very important. It is a welcome step by you and your ministry.”
It was last Wednesday when Aamir resigned from the ten member committee due to differences with committee members, especially lyricist Javed Akhtar.
Aamir had to take the drastic measure of quitting the copyright panel when his fellow members allegedly attacked him in the public by inflicting lies about him in the press, he stated, "thereby turning the attention away from a genuine debate about copyright issues.”
It is nice to see you back to your panel seat.
