Audi is planning to launch RS5 coupe soon. This car will be launched in India mostly by June 2011, though its not official yet.

 

The car comes with a rather big price tag which reads about 1 crore rupees. It was exhibited at Geneva Auto Show last year.   

 

This new model has redesigned front bumper with larger air dam, silver splitter and a single-frame grille with honeycomb inserts. It comes with chunky 19-inch wheels.  It will also have new bumper and twin exhaust pipes in oval shapes.  

 

It has black interiors, with decorative inlays and piano finish at the front fascia. These are electrically adjustable and come with leather/Alcantara combination. RS5’s steering wheel is covered by perforated leather and comes with substantial rim. It has an oil-temperature gauge and a lap timer.

 

RS5 coupe is 4.2-litre V8 motor powered. It gives out out 444 bhp of maximum power at 8,250 rpm (revolutions per minute) and has maximum torque of 43.96 kgm at 4,000 rpm. The RS5 car just takes about 4.6 seconds to move from zero to 100 km/hr. Its highest speed is 250 km/hr.

 

This car has retractable spoiler on tailgate which rises up automatically at speeds over 120 km/hr.

 

Even though Audi RS5 coupe will have to face challenge from BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG cars, Audi RS5 will give 9.25 km/litre (10.8 litres per 100 km or 21.78 mpg) as mileage.
