‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’, which will be second directional venture of Hema Malini, is an adaptation of the Hollywood musical, ‘Mamma Mia’. While Hema herself will be essaying the role what Meryl Streep had essayed in the original one, Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor will also be seen in pivotal roles.
Esha Deol will be seen essaying the daughter of Hema, who is in search for her real father. Arjan Bajwa will be essaying the role of her supportive boyfriend.
The subject of the movie carries a close resemblance with Dil Aashna Hai, which starred Divya Bharati and Shah Rukh Khan, which had been the directional debut of Hema Malini. In this movie, Divya was seen essaying the role of a girl who was in search of her mother, with Shah Rukh essaying the role of her supportive boyfriend.
Arjan, who is thrilled to be working in Hema’s film, says, “When we met I was numb. I just stared at her (Hema). When she told me she liked my work in Fashion I was on cloud nine. Of course, I immediately agreed to do the film. It is Esha’s re-launch.”
The movie will have directed by debutant director Mayur Puri, who had been associate director for ‘Dhoom’. The movie is slated to grace the silver screens in 2010.
