Apple Tablet PC To Be Launched Next Year Apple Tablet PC |
Apple has planned to launch a tablet PC next year. This much awaited tablet is expected to place the manufacturer in the digital book market, which is slowly taking pace after Amazon’s Kindle e-reader.
Online retail giant Amazon had released its Kindle e-reader few months before to tap the digital book market. And now, Apple has also jumped into the fray with its tablet PC. As many as one million units of the tablet PC may be released in next March or April to cater the needs of the customers.
According to estimates, the sale of these PCs would boost the company earnings from 25% to 38%. The company also plans to sell at least one million to 1.5 million units per quarter of the year.
"Our checks into Apple's supply chain indicate that the manufacturing cogs for the tablet are creaking into action and should begin to hit a mass market stride in February," said analyst Yair Reiner.
"The February ramp schedule suggests a late March or April commercial release, since Apple will need to build at least 5-6 weeks of inventory before going live," he added.
The tablet PC is expected to come with a 10.1-inch multitouch LCD screen as that of Apple's iPhone.
Apple has also planned to distribute their content electronically through the book publishers. And, good financial deals are on the way from the company to provide the impetus to the project.
