Anupam had earlier walked out of the movie ‘My Dear Friend Hitler’ due to the rising controversies. The movie makers had requested him to think again, but this time he surrenders due to two women.

The two women being talked about are Soni Razdan’s mom (German) and Sister Dolores who work with the actor.

Soni’s mother is a German and she called to Anupam Kher and said, “It's not only the Jews who suffered because of Hitler. The Germans too suffered. I'm one and I know what I went through. Please don't do anything to further extend the name of that blot on history."

Anupam says on this, “It was indeed Soni's mother who made up my mind for me. There was also Sister Dolores who works with autistic children with me. Sister Dolores too told me she was against my playing Hitler. These two women decided the matter for me,"

He further adds, “I was challenged to do a part that has been done abroad by so many distinguished actors. But what is recognition when weighed against people's sentiments?"

Now, Anupam Kher is not going to give a third thought to this movie and has totally surrendered to the women’s plea.
