Anupam Kher Doesn’t Want To Become Hitler Anupam Kher |
Anupam Kher has declined the offer to play the role of Hitler in the upcoming movie ‘My Dear Hitler’ by Rakesh Ranjan Kumar.
Anupam Kher is a veteran and versatile actor and believes in the fact that cinema is no bigger than thousands of people, who are feeling bad about his role.
Indians from all over the world have requested Kher to give the role a second thought.
Some requests say “How can you play Hitler, who was responsible for the massacre of millions of people?"
Now-a-days, he is shooting in Scotland with Shahid and Sonam Kapoor.
He thoughtfully added “Initially I thought that since I am an actor, I should be up for any role. But after seeing that so many people were reacting against it, I realised that I should not hurt people. Kyun kisiko bhi dukh pahunchaun? Human emotions are bigger than cinema.”
He is also not in agreeing terms with the movie director and said “There is one more reason why Kher was averse to doing Dear Friend Hitler. “
"I disagree with the director’s (Rakesh) statement in the media saying that Hitler was responsible for India’s independence, or something similar that he said. Being one of the better actors of Indian cinema, this is one film I can definitely do without.”
Anupam Kher has showed his true respect for the nation, but it has also shocked the film-makers. The team had organized a press conference in the coming week.
Kher added “They said ‘Give us a chance’. I was even told that they were even willing to change the director. But still I declined. At the end of the day, the greed of an actor should not surpass the feelings of millions of people.”
