Another brand new Tata Nano caught fire near Vadodara on Wednesday, but this time before the delivery to a dealer.
As per the information, there was a fleet of 11 Nanos to be delivered to a dealer in Makarpura. But, the car’s driver saw the fire coming out of the car from the rear side.
This is the fresh case of Nano incident which might tinker the reputation of the Tata Group. A few days before, a new Nano caught fire while the owner was driving the car home from the company’s showroom.
This was purportedly due to a short circuit in the Nano’s rear. However, a Tata spokespoerson said, “We are yet to ascertain the cause of this fire.
Confirming the fresh case of fire incident, a Tata spokesperson said, “One vehicle from a fleet of cars that was being transported to the dealer’s showroom caught fire on the way. We don’t know what led to the fire. We are investigating the cause of this fire. It was not sold to anybody.”
