Angelina Jolie Visits Pakistan To Meet Flood Victims Angelina Jolie |
Hollywood icon Angelina Jolie visited Pakistan on Tuesday and met the flood victims in north-western part of the country. The actress has urged the international community to give their helping hand to the needful who have been badly affected with the natural disaster.
The Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was very upset to see the pathetic condition of the people. Millions of people lost their homes and the 35-year old beauty was touched after meeting mothers who lost their children.
"I am very moved by them and I hope that I am able to, today and tomorrow, be able to do something to help bring attention to the situation for all of the people in need in Pakistan," Jolie quoted after visiting a refugee camp in the Jalozai area.
The lady donned a long black robe and a black headscarf.
Meanwhile, the officials of U.N believe that the visit of Jolie has come as a ray of hope for the victims. Ajay Chhibber, a U.N. assistant secretary general, said, “We need more ... well-known figures who can keep the spotlight and focus because people tend to forget internationally.”
