Ongoing Venice Film Festival met with an emotional moment when Dennis Hopper`s last film was screened at the mega event.. The veteran actor who died in May 2010 starred in Belgian film-maker`s short film, ‘Star Dust’.
Nicolas Provost`s ‘Star Dust` which also features Jon Voight and Jack Nicholson received applause from the audience and the legendary actor was remembered.
‘Star Dust` is an experimental movie which is filmed with a surveillance-style technique.
Meanwhile, Provost refused to reveal how he managed to film the stars` scenes but insisted that Hopper was very happy with the concept. In a scene, the actor is seen sitting in a McDonald`s restaurant.
"It`s very important that I don`t reveal how I filmed them. I filmed it last summer and with Dennis Hopper, it was a wonderful encounter. It was striking how warm he was as a person. I wasn`t aware that I might have been filming him for the last time," said Provost.
Dennis Lee Hopper famously known as Dennis Hopper was a legendary actor and in early days of his career he had played supporting roles in several films. His landmark career was marked by films like, Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet and Hoosiers.
