The actor who has become more prone to accident, luckily had his mom-in-law Dimple Kapadia besides him to attend to his injury. They both were working in the same location: Akshay for‘Action Replay’ and Dimple for ‘Patialia House.’

 

It was for a song sequence where Akshay sprained his ankle while experimenting a difficult dance step. The shooting schedule was put on hold for some time,  source informed, “We were shooting at Film City for a song when Akshay sprained his ankle. The dance step was difficult and he hurt himself badly while practising it. The shooting schedule was put on hold for some time.”

 

According to the sources revelation Dimple rushed immediately to his site after hearing about her son-in-law’s injury and was nerved by his situation though he was able to make lit bit of movements.

 

Dimple asked Akshay’s make-up man, Narendra to do some magic with his desi massage techniques to relive her son-in-law’s pain.

 

Narendra dada was well known for his time-tested desi ilaaj (home remedy) of twisting and massaging to relive sprain injury, sources added, “She immediately asked for a painkiller and instructed Akshay’s make-up man, Narendra dada to do a time-tested desi ilaaj (home remedy) of twisting and massaging Akshay’s foot in a particular manner for quick relief."

 

Akshay loved being looked after by Dimple, sources added,  “She also insisted that Akshay visit a doctor immediately. As much as Akshay loved being looked after by Dimple, he was unperturbed by the minor sprain.”

 

As a dedicated mother-in-law Dimple didn’t leave his side until he felt better and was fit enough to proceed with the disrupted shooting.

 

He was absolutely fine after a bit of physiotherapy and medication, producer-director Vipul Shah stated, “Yes, Akshay sprained his ankle while we were shooting for our promotional song. He was absolutely fine after a bit of physiotherapy and medication and we resumed shooting.”

 

Well Akshay is lucky this time to be attended by his mother-in-law!
