Akshay Kumar Says He Never Produces Films To Make Money Akshay Kumar |
Actor and producer Akshay Kumar who will soon be seen in his forthcoming film Patiala House revealed that he never makes movies to fill his bank account. The actor said that he is not bothered if his upcoming movie which also stars Rishi Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead role will be a hit at box office.
Akshay was quoted as saying, "I don't produce films for money. I make those films, which I personally want to make. I don`t know the fate of `Patiala House` but I am very happy to be a part of it and I have enjoyed working in it. I am not worried whether I would make money from it or not.”
"Today, I am in a position where returns don`t bothers me much... I only think that what new I can offer to my audience," he added.
The action hero of Bollywood is also happy that so far the movies made under his banner Hari Om Productions have not given any loss to him or distributors.
"I have produced eight films so far and none of them were unsuccessful commercially, and neither my distributors had to suffer any losses," said Akshay.
Patiala House which is directed by Nikhil Advani is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Mukesh Talreja, Krishan Kumar, Twinkle Khanna under the banner of People Tree Films Pvt. Ltd. and Credence Motion Picture and Hari Om Entertainment.
The film is set for release on 11 February 2011.
