Sanjay Dutt is fit for playing the role of villain and hero, but somehow, he looks better in negative shades. In the remake of ‘Agneepath’, by Karan Johar, he would don the role of Danny Denzongpa, the dangerous villain in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie.

 

‘Agneepath’ was one of the most remarkable movies of Amitabh Bachchan, where Hrithik will be seen donning his role, Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the merciless villain role of Danny.

 

The popular name for which is ‘Kancha Jeena’, Yash Johar will be producing the movie while Karan Johar will direct it.

 

Karan confirms the news and says, “Yes, Sanjay Dutt will be essaying the role of Kancha Cheena in Agneepath. All of us at Dharma Productions are extremely excited to work with Sanju. He is a close family friend and one of the nicest guys I know.”

 

Previously, it was Rishi Kapoor who was offered the role and he was also very excited to play a negative shade. But after the Deepika Padukone-Sonam Kapoor episode on ‘Koffe With Karan’, where his son Ranbir, was ridiculed, he also held Johar responsible for it and thus backed out from ‘Agneepath’.

 

The movie will go on floors in January and Sanjay will have to go bald for the perfect Danny look.
