Aftab Shivdasani’s Cricket Spirits On Hold Aftab Shivdasani |
Aftab Shivdasani’s plan to play in the charity cricket match between Bollywood actors and Sri Lankan cricketers in Colombo has to be put on hold as he has injured his hand. The actor was scheduled to participate in the charity match played as part of the ongoing International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) extravaganza in Sri Lanka.
But, Shivdasani, 31 who left on Thursday morning for the IIFA in Colombo hurted himself while playing cricket for Salman Khan's Being Human team in Dubai last week.
Aftab Shivdasani quoted, "Thankfully, it isn't a fracture. Just a small crack in the bone and soft-tissue damage. But that's painful enough. I've to rest my hand for at least 10 days. But I'm off to IIFA though I can't play the cricket match.”
"I was batting in Dubai against Pakistani actors... I tried to fend off (the ball) with my hand. The ball hit the bone on the side of the palm of my right hand. It was painful. I went directly to the hospital for an x-ray. There it was discovered I have a small crack in the finger. I've to wear a splint for two weeks,” he added.
