Aamir Khan’s Movie ‘Peepli Live’ Gets ‘A’ Certificate Aamir Khan |
Aamir Khan’s next movie 'Peepli Live’ has received “A" certificate from the Censor Board. The new movie was quite a surprise as Aamir’s recent hit '3 Idiots’ was a clean movie and liked by all ages.
Sources claim that Aamir was quite okay with the ‘A’ tag and denied for any cuts. A close source Aamir Khan Productions revealed, “We have got an ‘A’ certificate with no cuts. ‘Peepli Live’ is about farmer suicides and uses very authentic, colourful rustic language, the sort you get to hear in villages. To retain its essence, it was important no scene be cut. The language made the members of the Censor Board squirmy and they asked for cuts. However, Aamir was clear that none of the lines would be cut or the use of words diluted, and was given to take his film to only the 18-plus audience."
Aamir’s movie has already earned an official entry into Sundance Film Festival. The actor was not ready for any kind of tampering with the film’s material. The sources addressing the media further said, "‘Peepli Live’ has made an entry in the World Cinema Narrative category. It`s the first Indian film to go to the festival, and making cuts for the Indian audience wouldn`t have been fair."
The film is also the launch pad for Delhi girl Anusha Rizvi as a director .She said that they have made an effort to depict the bleak reality of Indian rural life.
