Hollywood icon Drew Barrymore who has starred with her beau Justin Long in the pair’s new flick, ‘Going the Distance’ admits it was a ‘unique experience’ working with her love.
'Going the Distance’ is a story about a couple who try to maintain a long-distance relationship, one in New York City, New York and the other in San Francisco, California. The film also includes a cameo by British band The Boxer Rebellion.
The actress also added that their real -life love helped in the making of the movie.
"I thought it would be a unique experience to go to work with someone I did have a history with and I have had emotional times with and who genuinely makes me laugh and who I`m genuinely attracted to," she said.
"I knew the chemistry between us would be honest, so we would be able to bring a truth to the fact that relationships can be very difficult, and I thought that would be a real benefit," she added.
The 35-year old actress met Long on the sets of their 2009 flick, ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’, and soon they announced that are an item but splited just one year later. However, the pair reunited in early 2009.
The upcoming romantic comedy film directed by Nanette Burstein is slated to be released on September 2, 2010.
