One of the most successful actresses of the golden era, Waheeda Rehman will be inaugurating the International Film Festival Of Kerala at Thiruvananthapuram on December 10.

 

 

There will be screening of more than 200 films in 16 categories from 83 countries; the occasion will mark the 15^th film festival in Kerala. The festival will have retrospectives of TV Chandran and German filmmaker Werner Fassibinder.

 

A special category on Spanish dance forms is also there, twelve films from ‘Forget Africa’, a project of the Rotterdam Festival, have been included in this edition.

 

A special category is made to mark the 200^th anniversary of Latin American Independence and it is called Bicentennial, it will feature 8 films from the continent.

 

Category for cartoon films is also made for the Japanese features and it is termed as ‘Managa’, many films will be shown in this category too.

 

The festival will last for a week and it will come to an end on December 17^th.
