Volkswagen brought out its premium flagship product, the Phaeton during the recent Auto Expo 2010 at New Delhi. The vehicle which costs Rs. 75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) will be available to the customers from March.
Phaeton has a robust Petrol Engine of capacity 3.6 litre which produces an output of 280 HP@ 6250 rpm and also a torque of 370 Nm@ 3500 rpm. The vehicle is exclusively manufactured from the Volkswagen’s Glass Factory at Dresden, Germany. It has the 6 Speed tiptronic gearbox, and 17 inch Alloy wheels.

In safety the Phaeton is equipped with 8 airbags, ABS, Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) advanced pedestrian system, and Anti-theft alarm system.
