Usher ‘Raymond Vs. Raymond’ Delayed Forcefully Usher |
R&B star Usher was forced to delay his upcoming album after bosses at his record label allegedly refused to release ‘Raymond Vs. Raymond’ until he signed a new management deal.
The disc was due to hit stores in early 2010, but was bumped up to December 2009 and then pushed back again until March 2010.
And the ongoing problems with the album are reportedly down to a disagreement between the star and executives at his Jive Records label.
Sources say that Jive bosses weren't happy when Usher cut ties with his manager mother Jonetta Patton in November 2009, and urged him to bring in new representation.
An insider said, "She (Patton) walked away from the project. She felt as though if she didn’t end things when she did, it would permanently affect their personal relationship."
Usher is said to be in talks to sign a new deal with AEG Live boss Randy Phillips, who manages Lionel Richie and Toni Braxton.
