According to reports, India's third biggest two-wheeler maker, TVS Motor Company, is planning to launch a scooter with unisex styling called ‘Wego’ in the country this month.
According to a statement, the two-wheeler major had posted a 15% growth in two-wheelers sales at 1,521,912 units in fiscal 2009-10 as compared to 1,325,754 units in the previous fiscal.
It also said that it had posted a healthy growth of 24% during the same period till March.
There was a 25% growth in domestic sales and stood at 126,669 units in March 2010. It had sold about 101,660 units in the same month last year.
TVS had also posted strong exports by notching 23% growth this year. It had marketed about 20,067 units as compared to 16,340 units in March 2009.
As per the company release, its three-wheeler sales stood at 2,431 units in March this year as compared to 650 units during the same period last year.
