Tito Jackson’s Agent Fires Back At Failed Concert Promoter Tito Jackson |
Tito Jackson's agent has hit back at allegations the Jackson 5 star kept a $7,500 (£4,687) advance for a Michigan show he never performed - insisting the concert promoter failed to fully complete the booking.
Promoter Roy Isaac alleges Jackson agreed to play a tribute gig for his late brother Michael in the U.S. state following the superstar's death last year (09).
Isaac claims Jackson kept the money despite the gig never coming to fruition, and threatened the star with legal action if the cash was not paid back within 30 days.
Jackson's rep subsequently told a celebrity website it was his client's booking agent who had the money, and that Jackson received none of it.
Now, the singer's agent Peter Seitz has fired back at Isaac, insisting he failed to properly plan the event. He tells the website if the show is not organised for another date, Isaac owes Jackson money for wasting his time promoting the tribute gig.
Seitz also tells the website Isaacs should "apologize and retract the story".
