Tata Motors has registered increased sales of its Nano model for the month December at 5,784 units, a steep increase from its November sales figure, which stood at just 509 units.
 
The world’s cheapest car Tata Nano was constantly witnessing declining trend in sales since July last year. The complaints of fire was another reason for declining Nano sales.
 
In December, the company announced a host of benefits for the Nano model and almost doubled the warranty period to four years. Tata Motors has also announced of setting up more Special Nano Access Points all over the country and also extend the service to remote or inaccessible regions.
 
Tata announced the warranty period of 4-year/ 60,000 km (whichever is earlier) warranty at no additional costs. The company is also into making aggressive campaigns to increase the Tata Nano sales. In addition, the company, in order to make purchasing more easier, is also facilitating financing arrangements at feasible rates.
 
By March this year, Tata Motors plans to sell Nano across the country.
