Tata Nano Attracts Malaysia & Taiwan Markets Tata Nano |
It is now known to everyone that Tata is readying its Nano or Nano Europa for Europe launch. The low-cost car has now attracted Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and other countries too.
During his recent visit to India, Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Muhyiddin Yassin said that Tata Group was keen to work with Malaysia’s renowned car manufacturer, Proton.
Despite its complaints like fire accidents, Tata Nano still remains a popular car in the entry-level segment. However, in order to make it to foreign markets, Tata’s Nano must be completely equipped with high safety features, which are never compromised at any cost.
Besides these markets, many markets including Turkey, Brazil and other South American countries are attracted by world’s low-priced car, Nano.
“Mr. (Ratan) Tata is keen to work with Proton again. About seven-eight years ago, there were some joint discussions to manufacture cars, but nothing came out of it. Now, our new automotive policy is more liberal and there are new opportunities. So, we need to study if we can bring in this type of a car (Nano) into Malaysia or work with Proton to produce the people’s car,” Yassin was quoted as saying.
