Sushmita Sen And Lara Dutta End The Cat-Fight Sushmita Sen |
The cold war between the two Miss Universe, Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen had been prevailing for a long time. The rivalry is now apparently over and the stars have come together for David Dhawan’s ‘Do Knot Disturb’.
Lara clarifies that she got along well with Sushmita in the movie and that she would be extremely glad to work with Sushmita again. She denies about any differences to have ever existed between them. She says, "Sushmita is a lovely person and we never had any problem working with each other. This (rumour) is generated for publicity, but there is normally very little truth behind the talk that we didn`t get along."
She goes on, "Our country has only two Miss Universes and if they also start fighting...it couldn`t get sadder than that. I just wish I had more screen time to share with her, as we had not worked together earlier and it was a fantastic opportunity."
Lara wishes that more filmmakers cast them together in their movies. She is hopeful that David Dhawan will definitely have them together once again after seeing their successful chemistry in his forthcoming movie.
‘Do Knot Disturb’ is a comedy film like most of Davids Dhawan’s earlier movies. It is co-produced by Big Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani. The film is based on the theme of marriage and infidelity. Besides the two ladies, it castsGovinda, Riteish Deshmukh, Sohail Khan, Ranvir Shorey and Rajpal Yadav. The movie is set to hit theatres on Oct 2.
Lara discusses about her character and calls it a fantastic opportunity to do this role. She plays the role of Dolly in the movie who settles the complicacies in her life in a most unique way.
Comedy is Lara`s forte. She has shown her excellence in this genre in many movies like ‘Masti’, ‘No Entry’, ‘Bhagam Bhag’ and ‘Partner’.
She states about her interest in comedy as, "I love doing comedies. There`s been an image of Miss Universe tagged to me and normally people associate me with being more cerebral and more poise because of the crown. But what people don`t know is that I am very comic in real life too. Doing comedies just gives me an excuse to be who I am. And if people think it`s great acting, it works for me."
She has a handful of future projects like ‘Blue’, ‘Housefull’ and ‘Tom & Jerry’. Let’s hope all these give a sharp rising graph to her Bollywood career.
