Sterlite Industries of Vedanta group has reported a dip of 42% in its net profit for fro 2009-2010 Q1 to Rs.672.6 crore as against Rs.1,151 crore in the like period last year.
The total income of the firm has come down by 19% to Rs.4,957.1 crore from Rs.6,172.5 crore..
The company posted a net profit of Rs.112.7 crore during the quarter as against Rs.357.9 crore a year ago, posting a dip of 68%. This is on a standalone basis.
